Ive been wondering ever since the Team Champs. If Panthers had won the " Toss" would they of been given the choice.(I bet they would of) Not once have I seen or heard from either manager to say whether they were told what the outcome would be if they won the toss.

In other news - Man never landed on the moon - The earth is flat - Reptilian style aliens have morphed into humans and live among us - There were two shooters on the grassy knoll - Chemtrails exist
Please god let there be no rain outs next weekend so people have some racing to talk about

The price, the fun police, the food, the draw,Wayne Hemi, the hot laps, the commentator, the toss, it’s a wonder anybody turns up at all ! Funny how despite all this the event gets bigger every year. On another thread apparently the 248s should be scrapped as well. Seems if It wasn’t for PN this site would struggle to exist

Facts are facts and you cant get away from it all. They bring it all on themselves by doing these stupid things every year. Yes we do all go back, its a great weekend. But it always leans a certain way time after time.

I will say thenough promoter did nothing but create this scenrieo. I'm of belief that the panthers were going to race loins no matterrors what. If you wanted a epic final. Best two teams on the final then the draw was done accordingly. And you got a epic final. But yeah. He's not doing himself any favours. But he doesn't need to. People flock to his event more and more. Correct team won a amazing final. Night one should be a talking point. Not the finals night or what took place. #smashthep

No. It was agreed between teams before the toss, whoever won the toss, won third spot overall in the rankings. If the Hawkeyes lost the toss, they would’ve come 4th. They called correctly so came 3rd and raced second spot G. If the panthers were to call the toss, same rules went for them.

It would be nice to hear from the team managers about how the toss was supposed to work. So as its open to speculation I'm suggesting that the winner of the toss automatically became 3rd as you would expect if two people/teams were deciding a tie, the winner of the toss would be 3rd and the loser 4th. Had a run-off happened the winner would have been 3rd, not given a choice of who they would race next. Not as interesting a story as is being suggested but does has some merit I think.

73 threads and 1400 posts. If you subscribe to the “all publicity is good publicity” school of thought then this event is hugely successful. Does any other speedway event even come close ?

nuts like this is why I keep leaving this site. Thank god the general public at race meetings don't throw around abuse like on here. The meeting could have run perfectly, with no infringements by any Panthers drivers, with free hot dogs and chips and you lot would be on here complaining that there wasn't enough salt on the chips, or too much salt, or the chips weren't long enough. And don't blame the promoter, we all know that's a bullnuts arguement or there would be an equal number of threads complaining about Waikaraka park and Meeanee.
Macgor, thanks for a wonderful site, but I think I'll be taking a break for a while because the tall poppy syndrome has gotten too much

While macgors has it's ups and downs with rubbish said, most is usually said in jest and usually more balanced than facebook although some do go overboard with downright stupid theories and bias.

Seems we have had more than our fair share of annoying posts on here just lately though.Think I need a holiday too.
