For those that are up for some old fashioned "Outlaw Open Wheel Speedway" Winged Thunder 8 will be held on Easter Sunday 1st April. Brent Harris has confirmed that this years Winged Thunder will feature Sprintcars, Midgets, Minisprints and "Modifieds" for the first time. The addition of the "Modifieds" will make the meeting a complete open wheel show ! Remember this is the home of the loudest sprintcars in the country - NO MUFFLERS ! Racing will commence at High Noon. Plenty of food on site, and a real picnic atmosphere. Brent has been busy adding to the infrastructure of the old western style speedway, so look out for the improvements I will keep everyone posted over the next few weeks with updates on entries and other relevant information.  |

Cant wait I heard today that a certain Modified driver will be racing in the south island on the saturgay nite then driving to the ferry to do the crossing and racing at Harrisville sunday. Be good to see these guys their with sprintcars midgets and minisprints as well!!!!

All looking good for Winged Thunder 8 at Harrisville Speedway on Easter Sunday !!
Top dogs Dean Brindle, Jamie Larsen, Skinny Colson, James and Keaton Dahm headline the Sprintcar entries !
Great news on the Modified front with John Jackson, Newton Gordge, Brad Lane, Blair McPhee joining in a select 10 car field for the inaugural Shoot out for the Mighty Modifieds on the wide open spaces of the Harrisville track.
19 midgets and 19 Mini sprints will guarantee close racing for these open wheelers !

It would be interesting to see what Sprint Cars are entered in the North Island Champs at Baypark on Easter Saturday night, also with Palmy running the Manawatu Champs on the same night.

Was thinking the same. Tenish BP regulars listed above. Wonder if they will run BP on Sat then head off to Harrisville? Can see the BP cars getting a clearance to run Palmy. |

All the last minute touches taking place at Harrisville Speedway for Winged Thunder 8 including a brilliant new merchandise shop flanked by the massive poster of the "King Kinser". It's looking good weather wise ! A great field of race cars, and a record amount of interesting food vans to add to the occasion !!!  |

sprintcar feature. james dahm, daniel rogers and keaton dahm. jamie larsen spun while leading and brindle hit him taking both out. was a very slick track. brindle won the pole shuffle with the fastest lap of the day.
