The thing is that it isn't speedway moving at all, open wheel racing is. Speedway will still be at Rosebank unless they've been given their marching orders as well

Speedway will still br at Rosebank unless they've been given their marching orders as well It is the way the press has written on the subject ,knowing that Western Springs speedway is to many folk, was the home of Speedway for 90 years in Auckland till the egos of a minority decided otherwise .. You may see other classes of speedway race at this new venue ,but the other comment is pure speculation on the part of the writer ..

There is a clip on you tube that has the local council, and a member from wacky park at the same meeting asking the questions about why the rug was pulled from them at the last minute, and asking for more transpires with council and their meetings with both speedway promoters and council If the clip you are referring to is the continuation of the Bill Buckley meeting clip then the neither of the two people are Asscc Club members I gathered they were both Local ward councillors around the Onehunga area. Debbie Burrows the spokeswoman is a board member on the Maungakiekie /Tamaiki ward . An option for the old boys in the Asscc would be to invite her a long in the quest for further assistance in keep the place operative ...

Not quite sure where crowd numbers 7-8000 per meeting comes from, be less than that on certain nights. bigger crowds come from Boxing night, 50 lapper and possibly international sprintcars. even on those nights be exceptional get close 12,000 mark, so if we believe figures spl over 100,000 at 10 meetings this past season. might be streatching it little
if move colin dale goes through there is many use public transport chances of getting out there be slim.. they will definitely be loosing many fans unless some deal of public transport be done.. where's springs track way too small these days, fact of danger drivers is paramount. this whole get out of western springs speedway ongoing for years. i felt only matter of time this move going to happen. council are not really interested spending large amounts of $$$ make it safer and bigger. otherwise may of happened years ago. springs been on borrowed time since around 2002.

We need a rail link to the airport, a subway or monorail from Manukau train station to the airport with a stop at Colin Dale Park would provide public transport.

Train to Puhinui then walk across the bridge to Puhinui Rd,Wallace Rd corner and catch 380 airporter. Or alternatively catch the train to Onehunga, then the 380 airporter and keep going past the airport on it. GMAC can advise how to get a bus stop put in on that route.

Over a ten year plan at $1.26 c per house hold for a nice place to swim and enjoy not much to ask is it ,part of the greens policy and just think Onehunga Bay ,will be a nice place to enjoy with your friends that reside there ...
In line to your leader Mayor GOFFS increase now $ 1.31 cents up five cents ,Iam sure his financial statement, on radio interview was correct ..

I think you may have to check your calculations there, unless of course you mean $1.26 per day, every day for the next ten years

Those living out west or central auckland would be nigh on impossible get out there by public transport.. looking at 2 trains each way.. going lose heck of lot of fans. depending on what prices they charge, going be really expensive night out do it.

Is there any progress with this new venue (2 years in Auckland is a joke with resource consent) or do we get to stay a few more years at the springs until the new venue is up and running ??

Apparently it has several months of planning which will includes the drivers etc & then it will start after that & go hard until right up to November 2020.

Resource Consent is a joke. A whole heap of $$ paid to the council for them to approve their own stadium. Also there is the pay off to the local iwi
