Dave Hughes had a fairly decent night in his new car, it showed quite a bit of pace. Good luck for the rest of the season mate

So 591p gets spat infield exiting T2, and back under full control drives across the infield and rejoins at the exit of T4. Hopefully the officials spotted that one. Barry B Exactly Barry and there's Hemis tyre tracks right through the infield from exit to re-entry so hard to argue with the proof. One of the most bizarre non-calls I've seen. Looking at the live stream an official appeared to be placed on the spectator side of the fence in turns 3&4 so I find it hard to believe nobody saw it. Those present at the 2012/13 New Zealand Stockcar Title may recall Jordan Dare exiting and re-entering the track at almost the exact point Hemi did tonight. Dare was relegated 5 places on that occasion. Given the advantage gained I thought that was a little lenient at the time! Then to hear Phil Ogle was relegated tonight for a "pole line infringement"!! If pits tv can do an interview with one of the officials I'd love to hear an explanation.

Anyone know why 599v ron tye didnt come back out for heat 2 and 3? Did he get trailered for noise???

What were others thoughts on the racing. I thought it was a very tame night of racing. Very little bumper or helping Club mates to qualify in heat 3.

With repercharges we don't really see this as often as guys still want to. Get as much points as possible to make the repercharge and also the second tier

What were others thoughts on the racing. I thought it was a very tame night of racing. Very little bumper or helping Club mates to qualify in heat 3. You have 82 cars. 24 go through. The next 52 go through to two repercharges. That's 76 cars leaving 6 out. So basicly you have all last night action in two races tonight. Which in turns destroys your other two fields. I would seriously look at the run off model. As it's a fan favorite. But your running risks of nobody showing up to qualifying. Why not take the top 3 from each group that dont qualify and have a 8 lap run off. For two spots. Still be just as brutal. What format did huntly use at the new zeland champs for stocks as that was carnage qualifying night.

Yea I agree. For the past few years there's been no real contact in heat 3's because everyone wants as many points as they can to get up the front of the repercharge.
Times have changed though, as back in the day 1nz, 2nz and 3nz were targets from heat 1 and were lucky to even qualify.
I also dont understand why cars just let Asher Rees smash them race after race. I thought after heat 1 and 2...that in heat 3 the 95c car would come back and try stop Asher but nope he gets fired off into turn 1 wall full noise again....

I don’t think it’s a matter of them “letting” Asher smash them, they are at opposite ends of the scale. 1000x better experience, machinery and skill. You could compare it with my 5 year old son versing mike Tyson in a boxing match.

Anyone got repercharge details grids etc? Woodford Geln website says grids will be released this afternoon after scruitineering... Harwood had the most points of all non qualifiers so will have pole for one race I'd imagine

I thought the reading of points was poor are we ever going to get someone like Paul hickey from another track. They start reading them when the oranges come on and cars are still loud. Wait until the track empties a bit. It frustrates me. However in saying that the website did do a good job with uodates
