I see Palmy Superstock teams on face book hinting the return off the KK Kings in tri rails And interesting talk off drivers returning , I would not be surprised to see Tom Harris return for the "G' he was stood down a season last year in G.B I think you have fell for the KK thing hook line and sinker.

Will Nelson Auckland Wanganui & WaiKato have teams?? "Long was last here for a teams race between the Hawke’s Bay Hawkeyes and Nelson Tigers (RIP) a few summers back and likes the Nelson track, a totally different venue from the bigger Canterbury and Greymouth ovals. It’s certain to get hectic with 26-car top drawer superstocks hitting turn one in the first finals heat on Saturday." An excerpt from one of the Nelson write ups - read into it what you will though. Never say never.

Tigers wont be there they'll be lucky to have 5 fit drivers ... Its a sad day when the Nelson Tigers cant front a team at Palmy ,considering they were once one of the strongest teams around. Does the $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$ thing, that has in a way ruined the contact classes have anything to do with drivers being reluctant to teams race these days.

The promoters will have to pay more appearance money. Work on average ticket of $60 x 30000 people over both nights that's a lot of money. Its going somewhere.

Im not sure Bundy will teams race again, wasnt his last experience when Peter Rees smoked him in turn 3 cant remember what year it was & he was quite badly injured? May of been the year Pete was in the Panthers & Asher was in the Mustangs? Also what cars do the Miers currently own & is Scott up to being knocked around again?

While the money would be nice, it's not the dealbreaker for the Tigers. Both Antz McKenzie and Brad Neiman suffered hits likely to end their careers and those two were the backbone of the "new Tigers". Trevor Lineham is also hurt, Shane Harwood and Brett Nicholls have done their turn, Phil Krammer and Dwayne Whitfield are new to the class and need another year. Dale McKenzie has done one meeting and Alex Hill simply doesn't like teams racing as much as the individual events. Alex Bright, Jared Gray and Ben Taylor have cars for sale, as is Junior's. Ian Clayworth is coming back but too late for this campaign and who knows what Nick Fowler might do after four meetings in the 66R? I hope this is a one-off and that the pendulum swings (with respect to Rusty Harris for pinching one of his lines) next summer.

It takes a special breed to teams race, putting your body on the line and knowing you may not be a work for a week or two if you get hurt. With alot of young guys coming in to the sport we hope they will carry on teams racing as there are a few back bones in teams that are ready to retire from teams racing soonish. Now my hawkeyes team would be hmmmm.......

I'm gonna take a shot and see how close I get.. no doubt some will be close and some will be way off! Wanganui 6V Dion Mooney, 23V Scott Duncan, 25V Carl Burns, 53V Shaun Smith and 81V Max Holloway. Carl Burns will not be teams racing this season, unless he's changed his mind since I talked to him on Saturday night. He's only done a handful of meetings in the car, and is running on a tight budget. I doubt Max Holloway will be available either, given that he suffered significant engine damage at Woodford Glen, and again, is running on a tight budget. There may or may not be an announcement about the Warriors in the next week or so, so everyone will just have to keep guessing in the meantime

Either way Gisborne will have their bases covered if Vallance isn't racing. There's 3-4 drivers likely to miss Hawkeye selection, any one of them would fit into the Giants or any other team needing a ring in. Another not so left field option for the Giants is 16w David Hughes. For the first time out in his new car at the NZs it was a rocket and was very impressive. It's another customer car, easy to dress in team panels and he's a keen teams racer. Also does Tony Wootten fit into the Wanderers and what is the history of the car he currently has? Apparently Tony doesn't get the car until after the Teams Racing, he was given the car for a meeting, call it a demo drive lolol
