All Teams get a designated Number, and races will go as follows; 1 v 2, 3 v 4, 5 v 6, 7 v 8, 9 v 10, 11 v 12, 13 v 1, 2 v 3, 4 v 5, 6 v 7, 8 v 9, 10 v 11, 12 v 13, Presume seeded teams will be number 4, 7, 10, and 13 (or something similar). This way seeded teams will not face another seeded team. Most non seeded teams will face one seeded and one non seeded team. However, there will be one team that does not face a seeded team (Team 2 in the above example).

Scrappers would be 4, Hawkeyes 7, Giants 10, and Panthers 13. History shows only 4 teams are seeded, with best advantage going to the reigning champs. Not only do they race someone who may have damage from their previous race in their first race, but they also get the best view of the points situation before doing their second race. If memory serves me correctly, this is the way they did it last time we had 13 teams.

Not only do they race someone who may have damage from their previous race in their first race, but they also get the best view of the points situation before doing their second race. If memory serves me correctly, this is the way they did it last time we had 13 teams. the past only shows where you have been but lets put all that aside and break down the difference between 2017 and 2018 where we went from 12 teams to 14. and what happened to the four seeds. hawke eyes raced wanders and warriors both new teams for 2018. loins raced tigers and warriors. panthers raced the eagles and the scrappers. the scrappers finished 2017 in 8th place after qualifying night. mustrangs raced auckland and the busters. so those were the top for seeded teams. now this is interesting. gaints 2017 5th raced tigers and wanders rebels 2017 6th raced eagles and scrappers. wildcats who finished qualifying night in 7 in 2017 raced the busters and auckland. so to sum up. the two 7 from qualifying night in 2017 did not meet another team from the top 7 in 2018. 4 seeds or 7? so if history is correct we may have 5 seeded teams for 2019. or possibly 6.
