ever year you get bad calls that hurt you. is there a way to try eliminate this? last year 66b was excluded from a race result for hitting a stationary car. he was spun out and collected the parked 11g? car that was on the infield. it didnt hurt in the end as Hawkeyes still made the 3/4 race. but this should never have happened.
any fix?

Yep dont do anything that they will look at. As for Randals that was harsh but I guess that's how the ref see's it. I spose this year that question will be ask if they clip a park car.

With the improvements in technology teams also now draw upon photos and videos to support their claims of rule breaking etc. Not that itβs always used or at least acted on.

probably not used or acted on as you can not protest in teams racing where a senior ref is present. Out of interest which club/track does the head ref come from at teams champs?

What is there to stop another hemi incident?
Admitting he wasnt gana race in final, so basically a free pass to break rules, as only he was penalised not the team?

Part of the problem is many of the fans don't actually know the rules very well

In CHCH a couple of years back in a team race Blair Cunningham was removed for hitting Kevin Roberts who was stationary but possible an attacking position. is there a rule that determines what is an ready and waiting to attack or just stationary or is it what the ref thinks?

Is set out in the teams racing COC. If a car can move IN THE RACE DIRECTION, either forwards or in reverse, no matter how acute the angle is... They are in an attacking position. As such they are fair game.

If it's the guy I'm thinking of that did the NZ champs, he's from Nelson.

Part of the problem is many of the fans don't actually know the rules very well But are all happy to comment as if they do and have also driven the cars and know what the drivers can see while they are racing as well. Its a different view from behind the steering wheel.

Not much hope really when a commentator who has been around since the very first teams champs asks "was that car stationary when he was hit?" How is Joe Blow supposed to understand the game if the lesson explaining it doesn't. Thankfully another commentatorput him back in his box and explained the rule
