Hi. I know it has been a long, long time but does anyone have any information on the car I mention. I believe that it raced at Palmerston and the name Merv Foster has been mentioned in connection to it. I owned the car and raced the car at Stratford in the mid 70s, probably around '76. The car had a Valiant 'Sloper' powering it, with Dodge g/box and diff. The front end was a truck one when I purchased the car, but I replaced it with a Dodge. The yellow '38 Chev Coupe body, originally No.33P was renumbered to 37S, had taken a fair ol' bashing and the chassis on the poor old girl had a real banana curve to the right. I ran 'block' for the late Gary Adamson in the '76/'77 Taranaki Champs when he won them, and then ripped the side out of the block chasing his late brother John in the last race of the night. Such is life, as they say. Anyway, the car eventually got sold cheaply to Brian Booker and then I suspect it went to the great scrapyard in the sky, minus the running gear. I have added a couple of images that I managed to find.
