Virtually the same thing that happened.. Could of been avoided if Sneddon had taken his foot off the gas. Which he ABSOLUTELY should have done. Have just seen it online, and I can't find any justification for it. He MUST have know he was facing the wrong way, yet stayed with his right foot firmly planted and kept at it. No indication the cars were hooked up at all and I can't see anything to mitigate his actions. Wrong, wrong, wrong! Not sure why everyone is still crying about it , hell its now tuesday and it was all done and dusted on saturday nite. Whining isnt going to change things..

I have always thought the best Refs in any sport are the one who know when not to intervene. I hope penman and his ilk do not become refs and bring their pedantic approach to speedway.

I know its only Tuesday, but that's the best joke so far this week. So many things go unmissed by the refs, especially in teams racing. The rules are poorly enforced as it is, and you're suggesting the refs should be looking the other way?

I wouldn't tar "everyone" with my apparently "pedantic" approach @highrevz; that would be unfair on them no doubt. I would have said something about it earlier as part of the original "whining" discussion, but hadn't seen it until this morning; real life things to do until now, dear boy. Not sure about my "ilk" either. I would have though that enforcing the laws correctly at the time might have been exactly what was needed to have avoided a case of pendantic Tuesday whining. But, as you have so very concisely pointed out, once it's done, it's done. So, I suspect we shall see no further input on your behalf about any past issues on any track regarding any subject at any time. I guess time will tell...

The best refs in sport may be the ones who know when (or not) to intervene - IF you are on one side of the fence. However, if you are camped on the other side of that same fence, the best ref is the one who knows when to enforce the rules. But rest easy knownotmuch, I have intention at all to become a ref....not now, not ever. You may sleep well now.

OHH Really lmao Question ,, Were you even at the event ?? Because i was and saw that it wasnt what most were making out it was. . And ,so its ok for you to whine about something 3 or 4 days after the event , but nobody else can in the future . Hard man alright..

Well one would hope so, but drunk people vomiting all over the place and abusing people and children ain't cool. Maybe they should save all that for when they are in the toilet huh.... I also dont understand... If you want to smoke or vape you have to go outside the gates but if you want to drink as much alcohol as you wish and ruin others nights... your allowed to do that inside. The smoking rules are pretty much the same at every other place. The by-product of smoking is you blow it over everyone around you the by-product of drinking is you have to go pee, most people go away and do this part in the toilet they don't just piss all over others.

And ,so its ok for you to whine about something 3 or 4 days after the event , but nobody else can in the future . Hard man alright.. Not QUITE sure why you are asking a question I have already answered. IE, no, I WASN'T at the event (hence me pointing out that I had only seen it when I posted...sorry, I mean whined...about my very humble take on what I saw). However, I am pleased to have it pointed out that video footage seen after the event is quite different to what actually happened at the time; "honestly honey, it's not what it looks like - we're just friends" or "no Your Honour, despite that very clear CCTV video that shows a face exactly like mine, that is most certainly not me...". You can whinge about something all you like, if you wish....it's no skin off my nose at all. But I do believe YOU are the one who said it was a pointless effort three or four days after the event. All good with me. I have viewed the video again a few times....and just can't get past the fact it was completely avoidable and should have been dealt with at the time. Whinge? Maybe Whine? Maybe My opinion? Definitely! Good to watch? Without doubt!
