Got home and watched run offs, some good racing, tell ya what is 15w prentice is allowed to teams race that car for the wildcats they will be a team to beat. Some good young talent coming up thru the ranks down that way. I asked 2nyte if Josh is in wildcats and they had a big smile

So no P cars on podium at home track. OUCH!! That's got to hurt. Would you say that about any track or just pick on Palmy? don't answer, I know what you're thinking. Tried pretty hard though, 76 tough cars raced, not all were from Palmy. We'll be back - humble in victory, gracious in defeat.

76 cars entered and considering Rotoruas large number racing this year it was a pretty poor turnout from R cars.

And my kid wins thank you π Congratulations 5w Keegan Levien on taking out the NZ Superstock Grand Prix after beating 2NZPeter Rees in a run off. Also congratulations to 46b Quinn Ryan who came through from the repercharge to score 3rd place after a rare 4 car run off involving 1NZ Jason Long, 9g Jamie Hamilton, and 15w Josh Prentice.

So no P cars on podium at home track. OUCH!! That's got to hurt. First time since the 2009 World 240s that no P cars have been on the podium at a major title! Which was FWJ, Pat Westbury and Malcolm Ngatai. First time at the GP since the 2005/06 season when it was Rodney Wood, Kerry Remnant and Tony Wootton!

I think it's fantastic. Just like it was 30-35 years ago, finally. Even spread of cars from a large number of tracks. Now if only Nelson could get some big numbers again, it'd be the strongest this class has been, nationwide, EVER I suspect. The catalyst was probably the Rees family leaving PN for Gisborne, which has been replicated by the likes of Kihikihi in the setting up of a team, but other tracks like HB, Huntly, Baypark and Wanganui have just grown in numbers of the past 2-3 years, thus seeing the class growing in numbers overall. Unlike the late-80's early-90's many are now racing out of their local area (but then Palmy started that) but the overall effect is great. No more will we see 12-13 cars from one track in the final, even though factions within Palmy still meant they didn't win all of those despite the huge odds in their favour, but I think what's happening now can only be good for the sport of Superstock racing, and GREAT for teams racing. And you're going to see the NZ Championship Rotation again including tracks like Baypark, Kihikihi and Gisborne. Barry B
