Awesome Pete, is that going to be a regular thing? I don't want to sound ungrateful to the Man Stad for all the coverage they give the sport but it's great to read a report from someone who was actually there, not just snippets from here and pn website copy and pasted into a mangled story.

Nice to see a new driver win. All I will say back in the day we never went out to destroy a a follow drivers car. Pay bk is going to so much fun. If 94p has been told his car is not legal from the start of the season, every result is bullnuts

Is it just me or should the first place run off always be the last race held in a championship. It seemed odd that it came before the 3rd place race off. The two run offs made for an excellent climax to the meeting.

I don't know if that was their thinking or not and the rain didn't come so it'a moot point but it wouldn't have taken much water to make that track unraceable.

First time I've seen a 4 way run off, am convinced all run offs should be 4 cars from now on, much more entertaining than the quicker car not needing to lap the other car anymore

Be more explosive than White Island Pete ,looking forward to more news and good reports on the sport and maybe a photo of Rammers struggling to swallow a fish burger like a Pied Shag ..

Great photos Go Slideways!
I found some in-car action from the NZGP, 44p Brendan Sharland at the wheel who finished 11th overall

Thanks hotdogman I'm a bit behind but hope to post at least 100 more pics onto Go Slideways TV tonight. 44p Brendan Sharland has been around a wee while now and is a bit of a quiet achiever. Since winning a race for the Manawatu Mustangs at last years ENZED Teams Champs Brendan's form has steadily continued to improve. He'd be at longer odds but if I bet I'd include him in my top 10 for the NZ's. 126k Asher Rees was very fast as usual until he had a problem with his steering in qualifying. Asher rode the wall at speed for a couple of laps in an attempt to pick up some points but the red lights came on when Ashers car caught fire in the back, by the petrol tank which is never a good place for a fire. I didn't talk to him when he came to the safety stand but I could tell he was disappointed. 39c Andrew Buchanan and Jamie Burns went for a skate in one of the Sidecar support races. Thankfully all involved only received bumps and bruises and will be back. Right foot rivals - one of Palmy's favorite Sons 88p Jack Miers, and the Himitangi Hitman 2NZg Peter Rees
