Here is the schedule of important times for racers and fans ahead of the Elite Mechanical New Zealand Superstock Championship next week (and you have no idea how scary it is that the event is just 10 days away!!). Entry to practice on Thursday night is free, and spectators are welcome at scrutineering at Wanganui Racecourse on the Friday morning.
The public gates will open at 4pm both days, and General Admission seating is on a first-come-first-served basis. There will be no public admission. There will be public access to the pits from the time the public gates open until racing starts. There will however be no access to the pits once racing starts, unless you have an authorised wristband. This is dictated by the size of the field, and the movement of cars between the upper and lower pit areas.
General Admission tickets can be purchased via Eventfinda, at Wanganui Racecourse during scrutineering, or at the gate, both days. There will be separate entrance lanes at the gates for those with pre-sold tickets. Gate sales will be available both days.
A parking plan will be published early next week showing the location of four car parks within a few minutes walk of the gates.
The Wanganui Stockcar and Speedway Club and the Elite Mechanical NZ Superstocks sub-committee has put in a huge volume of work to make this event a success. For those who are travelling, take care on the roads. For locals used to turning up five minutes before the meeting, don't! Plan your day, arrive in plenty of time, and enjoy the experience!!
