If current drivers are allowed then Kerry Remnant must be a chance on length of service alone.

Think this ends up being my only post of the year lol.
Scrappers Keith Simpson and John Mercer neeeeeeed to be in. They raced the first 8 Teams Champs, winning three. Their legendary battles with the Panthers established the event and laid the platform for the future.

Steve Jude & most definitely Kerry Remnant, it would be awesome to award it to a driver that is still competing, hes definitely a hall of famer.

I note Barry's question regarding having to be drivers with interest
What about the ol' commentator whose sayings have become a part of teams folklore? The swinging pendulum, front gunners, rear gunners, the 7's of speedway, wink wink nudge nudge.

A great source of information on Team Champions is the book......Teams Champs, The First 35 Years. If a retired driver is to be considered, Steve Jude would stand a really high chance of being next in line.
15 appearances, 40 teams races, And captaining the Hawkeyes to becoming back to back Team Champions. From 1995 to 2017. Has always raced for The Hawkeyes and on occasions worked hard to gather a team to compete. Is still actively involved helping young drivers into the sport, to become future Team racers.

Congrats to the Manawatu Speedway Club for absolutely nailing it last night with their four awesome inductees:-
John Mercer 1981-88 Gary Parkes 1981-94 Keith Simpson 1981-88 Brian Anderson 1981-94
Totally appropriate bunch with it being the 40th running of the event

I note Barry's question regarding having to be drivers with interest What about the ol' commentator whose sayings have become a part of teams folklore? The swinging pendulum, front gunners, rear gunners, the 7's of speedway, wink wink nudge nudge. Need to bring him back. Boy could he liven up a crowd really get them excited. Teams isn't quite the same without him.
