The weather forecast not looking too flash for Saturday. Only 9 entries so far.
6s Neville Thompson 7v Glen Huijs 12v Brent Huijs 24s Mark Willans 67s Tyla Robins 68p Chris Bagrie 74v Ben Huijs 93p Karl McGill 95s Duane Hickman
I suspect there's a couple of cars a bit too badly damaged from Saturday night's meeting. 42s in particular.

She's all go mate. The "big" class tonight is Youth Ministocks. There's about 3,000 of them here. Well it looks like that many. My money's on the Hodge brothers 12p and 21p. Find these boys a couple of midgets.

Heat one ten laps.
Mark Willans shot away into the lead and stayed there till the chequer. Behind him Brent Huijs and Duane Hickman were having a great battle for third behind Chris Bagrie. But ... when the white waved Bagrie got it all wrong in the south bend bringing out the yellow. Somehow 7v & 67s tangled under the yellow putting Robin's on the infield. So it was green, white, chequer and the 24s stuck to his guns and kept it clean to the finish. Hickman however picked the wrong line into one on the flag and got shuffled back. Across the line, 24s, 12v, 74v. However Ben Huijs was called to meet the stewards. The official result is on hold.

Heat two.
7v & 12v DNS.
The 74v of Ben Huijs got off to a cracker of a start, but behind him Hickman was carving through the field and at half distance he pushed through under Ben to take the lead which he never relinquished.
Across the line it was 95s, 74v, 67s, 4m, 24s, 93p, 6s and 68p.
In the points 74v holds a narrow lead over Ricky McGough in the 4m with Duane Hickman up to third and starting from pole in the third and final heat.

Ricky McGough wins heat three and Taranaki midget title.
McGough started outside Duane Hickman on the front row and chose the highline while Hickman hugged the pole and for ten laps these two went at it. Hickman getting his nose under McGough, but the northern visitor stayed up high and carried his speed out of the corners.
A race of real quality with half a length between them at the finish.
Result: 4m, 95s, 74v, 67s, 93p, 24s, 6v.
Congratulations to Ricky.
A few of the cars will be at Oceanview speedway Whanganui tomorrow.
