Looks like this year is set to be worse than ever with team liveries looking Similar!. Giants, Gleneagles, Hawkeyes, Rebels, Panthers all with Similar Red/Black stripey appearances. Sometimes less is better, Busters, Allstars, Scrappers all very simple clean and easy to spot. Sponsors get better coverage as well.

I don't see what the problem is, doesn't phase me one bit and there is enough of a difference in signage that we as a fan can distinguish the difference.
I'm assuming the drivers dont have a problem otherwise they wouldnt continue to turn up with the same or similar colour scheme.

I think this year will be better.. in fact the only thing close to a clash tonight will be Palmy vs Kihikihi with one side of their bodies black, but even that can hardly be called a clash with the other side being stark white.

To be fair. The really bad colour clash was meeane maulers vs palmy pumas. As a hawkes bay lad i dont like seeing our teams in just black. There has to be white as well. Rip the good old days of the maulers.

The drivers/managers from the south in that final were a bit worried about the colour clash hence the last minute decision by the eagles to blackout the top of there bodys above the screen to try be able to tell the difference in a hurry.

The Wildcats changed completely from Black/Yellow to White to stop clashing with the Scrappers and they looked good too.

It wouldn't be hard for the authorities to assign each club its own predominant colour so then both Superstocks and Stockcars teams could have the same livery. I don't understand why a few of the teams have predominantly black colour schemes, my computer can display millions of colours, but 12 NZ Superstock teams can't manage to find 12 different colours.

My issue would be sponsorship packages. Some sponsors may require bodies to be a certain colour. Now they have numbers sorted I am ok with body colours. If the team has an issue paint the bumpers prior to the clash. However if SNZ could get their nuts together on sooooo many levels I would love a regional colour scheme as approved by our invisible governing body!

What is rotorua color scheme. And what is tauranga color scheme under your plan? And panthers and mustrangs? Wellington, canterbury, hawkes bay, taranaki, waikato all have black. King country, poverty bay, Canterbury, blehiem, west coast all have red. Otago, nelson, bay of plenty, whanguni, auckland all have blue. You see its not quite as easy as you lead it to believe.

Regional colours wouldn't have to follow the traditional "rugby" colours. Are NZ Stockcar Clubs that bereft of ideas that they can't come up with 20 different colours between them??

Not so much meaning the colours of their region as we know the clash, more so SNZ approve a regional colour. Yes teams will submit their 1st choice and 2nd choice and SNZ can help decide.
As said previously, subtle changes don't bother me now the numbers have been sorted as a spectator.
As for teams racers in each race they need a way to distinguish who is for or against.

Colour clashes can be difficult and we all understand some teams want to kind of hide/blend in on the track but it should be easier for fans to see who is who shouldn't it??. A possible solution is each team could have distinctive coloured side panels on both sides of the top wing. This would still allow the car to be "disquised" in a rear view mirror but able to be picked out by the crowd.
