Be great to see more bums on seats there. Huge potential. Sad really. Or is it just a promoters hobby ground. 🤔

Like lifes treasures collection of the enjoyable things we did ,but now they accumulate dust on shelves in the library or that room where you hide at night from the Mrs tinkering about ,enjoying a swig or a cuppa ,,the only visitor is the cat or dog ,life has been a great journey so far and we are so lucky in this country to have the freedom to enjoy a sport we so much like .. Thanks for sharing the video ,it bought back many memories in the building of it and dinning up at Fabys at Greeton afterwards at night ..

It’s an amazing facility! How many tracks have sealed pits and that much seating and toilets! Now if only they could sort out that red clay........

I guess in reality did we need such a stadium such as this ,it certainly has bought its problems in administration and promotion and the trend of going has worn off to the general public . When it first kicked off it certainly had the wow factor ,but not anymore ,generally if you like the stockcar racing Huntly and Rotorua have upgraded there vacilities to cater for it . Open wheel racing and Supersaloons or saloons in general suit bay park ,the crowd generally shows the impact they have Oh and the red dust well if youve been to Kampala it floats in the air every day ,like many other states in Africa and the USA something you kind of get use to seeing in the other side of the world .. The Boss has the best track for especially superstock and stockcar racing nestled in his part of the world ,other than the sulphur smell at times it is a fantastic venue to go to ..

When Baypark first opened it was amazing. The track and maintenance was awesome. The dysfunctional council has a lot to do with its slow demise. They were shown up by a private operator doing what a council should do so they put a lot of effort into making life as difficult as possible for the speedway to operate. Some seasons I travelled to the Mount often and one year went to more speedway at Baypark than Auckland. This season I made two trips and will not be going back this season. At the end of the day it is not just speedway that looses it is the Motel , Cafe and other things I would have done while visiting that miss out on my spending money.
