A few pictures I know, but sadly it looks like the negative knockers have got their way and they'll be the last Solo pictures from a National Championship at Palmy for a very long time, not because of the track surface.

Bring back bunyan!!! Na seriously this form of speedway has a lot of history and needs to be looked after, yes I think should only be run at specialist tracks but i think it is worth persevering with as it has so much history and did so much to shape our oval racing sport in the early days.

I agree that yes there is a very fine history of Solo racing in Palmerston North, and throughout New Zealand, but personally I think exposure to the masses on well prepared tracks across the country is a better way to grow the class than retreating to the few bike only tracks and preaching to the converted.
