has the rules on these been change yet again?
Used to be open season, anyone could enter both North Island and South Island titles.
Then they changed it to you could only enter the title relevant to the track you were contracted to (ie North Island Track North Island title, South Island track South Island title). Which to me is the sensible option.
Then they changed it to you could enter either one or the other but not both.
Now it seems to have gone back to open season again.

It is open season on the island titles again. Rule changed at the 2019 AGM. Eligibility criteria is the same as NZ Titles and then when all the South Island titles start getting won by North Islanders again it will change again.

For us South islanders its always a privilege for the quality north islanders to come south ,Does not bother me as a fan if the title is won by a North islander.

except for NZ Championships where pretty much everyone pays their way, most South islanders travel north paying their own way. few North Islanders come south unless theyre paid. There is the odd exception

Matthew leversedge does majority of his racing Auckland being contracted western springs for past 3 or 4 seasons. Wheres was great see jack low up here over xmas and for nz title. Very seldom that occur unlike many Auckland drivers head south especially Ruapuna for sprintcar gold cup

Very seldom that occur unlike many Auckland drivers head south especially Ruapuna for sprintcar gold cup well Ruapuna is the best track in NZ for sprintcar racing and Christchurch is a great place to visit. That is why so many who go there keep going back
