Is this the Mark Petch from Petch Motorsport. Had Robbie Francevic in Volvo 240T, Sierra XR4TI,BMW M3, Sierra RS 500. Drivers included Leo Lenard, Brett Riley, Kayne Scott, Greg Murphy,Ashley Stichbury. If is the above long Motorsport history. Aside from the Volvo I remember him more from his role in the NZV8's / Super Tourer split of 2011, a point from which touring car racing in New Zealand has NEVER even remotely recovered despite being over 10 years ago now. I'm not saying he was to blame, many parties and ego's played a part as hundreds of thousands of dollars were wasted/lost while large fields of competitive touring cars were transformed into a permanent cure for insomnia. His background is speedway is small, so it'll be interesting to see what his plans for the magazine are, going forward. Barry B Now that you've brought it up, that NZV8/ Super Tourer split was probably the blackest episode in NZ circuit racing. Instead of having two successful racing series egos' and wallets got in the way, court battles and personalities erupted and as you say even 10 years later not remotely recovered. The pre 65 series only class worth watching now. More egos and wallets hurt in that battle than the demise of Today FM this week.

It will most likely turn into a motorsport mag.
Could be a good thing, covering all kinds of motorsport.

I Don't think NZDTR Mag will be turned into a Motorsport Magazine, as 1st, you have 2 Completely different kind of Racers Racing on Different Types of Tracks. 2nd, BOTH Magazines will be a Separate Income Revenue for any Owner. Yes, perhaps Sponsership could/maybe Shared? I have been Buying our NZDTR Magazine since it's inception and I have had NOTHING Negative towards Any of their Issues Old Story: "Ïf It Ani't Broke, Don't #uck With It".
