Not a big Gisbergen fan,my favourite driver in NASCAR is Kyle Larson but yes I was cheering for Shane yesterday and has been 60 years since a driver has raced in his first NASCAR race and won,was Johnny Rutherford at Daytona in 1963.

He had plenty in his favour, with it being NASCAR's first ever street race, the car having similarities to a Supercar, and the rain probably didn't do him any harm either.
But against him was 60 years of history, sitting on the opposite side of the car with concrete walls everywhere, different gear shift, downforce under the car floor as opposed to aero over the top with wings, water temperature in Fahrenheit etc, etc.
A huge effort for sure.

Could be potentially moving into nascar ranks after that win. he's only got just one more season with v8 supercars. would imagine plan is hopefully get ride over there, would be fantastic. he said he's getting bored with v8s.
