Was as packed as I’ve ever seen it tonight, latecomers having to sit right up against the fence, then get told by security to move back lol. Luckily I timed it perfectly to avoid any crowd getting in and had a decent park too
Even with the 6pm start I thought 8 classes and a ramp derby was way over ambitious, and it proved to be the case, with a couple of lengthy delays the derby wouldn’t have been starting until at least 11pm at a guess, just too much for my young fella who’d been excited for it all day, but he called time at 10.30pm with a couple of races still to go and a ramp to set up
Some decent action though. Osborne ended up in the old Ngatai Stealth, won the first race, ended up on the first row with Malcolm for the final and dropped back to mid pack then ended up on 2 wheels and completely binning it in a huge roll. Elliott mr consistent got the job done on Ngatai late
Ashton Osborne in the saloon put on the move of the night, in 3rd place coming onto the back straight the 2 cars in front were tussling and with 2mm of space between the outside car and the wall he jammed his machine through to pass them both and grab the win

Not a huge amount
Stockcars all in for 3 heats, high 30s numbers, heat 1 turn 3 someone tagged Harley Robb, next lap around Robb sent another car in at high speed and tipped the one who rolled him over, was some solid contact between 521c and another down the other end of the track, other than that no big hits
Superstocks with NZs next week werent going to do much. Ngatai took the champs with 2 1sts and a 2nd. 14c runner up and if he is going to the NZs he is a darkhorse, that car is a rocket
Even the Streetstocks weren’t putting much on tonight

Very slow getting out of the carpark tonight. Really? Two chapters of a book and a quick nap and I got to drive straight out. Though it was 1am at that point.

We walked out the gate to the car and just watched the cars sitting in the queues.. It's the far end of road that is the problem. Once it died down alot we left. Was no drama. Got home before 1.

Tomorrow the first time this season I could go but have chosen not too
5 classes, with Adult Ministocks, Youth Ministocks and Productions being 3 of them, just isn’t enough to get the money out of my wallet this time. Streetstocks should put on a good show but was expecting a higher number entered, modifieds look a good field though

It's not like they are all away for NZ titles 🤷 With the grades on offer who would bother.

I haven't been since November.Ive streamed the last 3 events so will be going don't think it'll be a great night but just hope the streeties can entertain. The numbers in the streeties and modifieds both aren't very high for both Canterbury and South Island champs respectively either.

Qualifying for the Stockcars looked ok with 45 cars on the entry sheet but when only 37 or 38 turn up it ends up a bit lacklustre, especially when 13 qualify from each group and only 15 start the 2nd heat

Was amusing that Robb was qualified after 2 heats, didn’t need to come out for the 3rd, and was leading it halfway through the race and got bored so he started blocking Sweeting
Enjoyed the Super Saloons tonight, 25 lap feature without a caution is rare, had given the win to Osborne about 15 laps in but Cardwell hunted him down and got it done to get the Cardwell name back on the trophy

The stream is rather expensive $50 for saturday No need to purchase then. Fairly normal stream price. Up to you I spose. All streams are costing more than entry these days. I only stream teams now as guaranteed action. Other classes on TV don't do it for me.

Doesnt really compare to any of those titles at all
