If you had the chance to run a meeting how would it look?.Mine would be 4 grades.Superstocks, Streetstocks Stockcars & Supersaloons.4 races each.Grid draw for first one & reverse finishing order from previous race for next 3.Standing start for the contact grades but a yellow light to bunch them up again if theres a caution.No noise restrictions.The louder the better but neighbours might not agree.Can carry on with outside flat of course but slowly round the bends.The drivers get the track theyre given.Supersaloons & Modifieds tend to drive around for 5 minutes or more till the driver on pole gets the track to his liking at some tracks.And hopefully all over in 3 hours.Thats about my attention span.

Simple the Classic at Warrnambool  Sprintcars and one support class done. |

Solo Bikes, Mods, A and B grade Stocks with 40 gallon drums, Open grade saloons, rolly poly cars for entertainment, get rid of the wall and go back to dirt traps and wires. 3 bike races, 3 mod races, 3 B grade stockcar races, 3 a grade stockcar races, one 20 lap all in A and B grade stocks. 3 open grade Saloon races, 16 races and rolly polly cars is heaps enough I reckon.

Allow contact in Ministocks.
Stockcars and Superstocks to actually make contact, and make them run in reverse direction 😁
Super Saloons to actually look like a road going car, no flat panels and stupid shapes.

Copy Gisborne speedway although 1/3 bigger.
Super Saloons, Saloons.
F1 Stockcars, Standard stocks with crate engine and regulation tyres and other parts.(reason to get more cars into the class at lower price point)
Street Stocks, Production saloons.
Modifieds with crate engine and regulation other parts to keep competitive at a much lower cost. (reason to get more cars into the class at lower price point)
Promote outside comfort zone. EG Many Indian and Asian people are interested in cars although do not drive / watch speedway. Look to see what can be done to promote to them. ( being inclusive)

One of my favorite meetings ever.
Peter Barry stockcar teams. All 10 north island tracks. Plus streetstocks north island champs all in one. Grand parade has the stockcar teams followed by the streetstocks from that track. Night 1 qualifying. (We never got a night two in real life)
Finals night starting with the streetstock repercharge. 7 stockcar team races palmy style. The last two teams vs 10 host track 3 heats. You get points for dnf as well. Winning title beast in the east. And to end the night a 5k streetstock and stockcar dash for cash topped with a demo derby.

I have asked myself that many times. Not sure I have it sorted yet. I think there will be many awesome meets per year that could be had. I will give it some thought and will reply. For me it will involve teams racing. not just contact classes.

Each club entered must field a streetstock, stockcar and superstock team. Teams race for their own class title but points are combined across all 3 grades to crown a champion club.
Big dollar sponsors to not just cover the cost to drivers but actually see them make somewhat of a profit so they can really put it all on the line with no fear for chassis or engine.

North island definitely needs a streetstock State of Origin much like the south island has in Christchurch. The 6 north island teams going at it. Winner gets to host the next year. |

Bitcoin has hit 40k now so may not be far off.
I've thought of going to a track(maybe wanganui) and chucking 20 to 25k at it and saying do you guys want to run a meeting?
Nzs BEST OF THE BEST, or CHAMPION OF CHAMPIONS.
Top 3 points getters for each tracks previous season in Superstocks, Stockcars,Super Saloons,Streetstocks And Youth ministocks.
So. Nz champs top 3, north island champs top 3, south island champs top 3,Gps top 3 World's top 3 etc all get automatic entry plus If you get top 3 in your tracks seasons points you are eligible to enter.
If 1 or any of the top 3 from your tracks top season points getters don't come then so be it..it is only open to the top 3.
From every track in the country.
Can be one or 2 nights it won't be up to me I'll just throw the cash at it and say run it your way.
I always thought it would be an amazing event if everyone bought into it.
I don't want no naming rights or nothing they can get extra cash for themselves doing that, I just want to do.it as I want to see it, and honestly, cryptocurrency has made some of us think things that we would've never thought possible to do before.
Is that a meeting anyone would like to see?

Speedfest went well for a couple of years, attracting all the title winners but I think drivers, particularly those from the South Island, required more appearance/travel money to make it financially viable in turn making it harder for the club to turn a profit.

Bitcoin up 2.6 percent today to NZ 72107.05 Large3 bank overseas, repeated message this week, Bitcoin will hit 100k US again this coming year, because there is going to be an ETF ( exchange traded fund) available in early 2024., If you know what an ETF is, look for it in the new year..in the mean time ..hopefully you will be able to put a roof on a few of our favourite tracks!!
