keep in mind this is a discussion board, not a bashing board.
I see there is 2 international drivers on the billing for super saloons this year. Not being the cleverest person, but I assume super saloons are on the sat support class and these guys are not here for a demonstration!
I have enjoyed super saloons at Palmy for the teams when I can see them. Unfortunately I can only see my corner, and that is being under cover.
What are peoples thoughts on support classes for this event. I like to sit top of the bleaches turn 3. Great for teams as close to the action. However dusty support classes are almost unwatchable in front and no chance at the far end.
I would like to see streetstocks and a 6-8 stockcar teams event for the saturday. Keep it as an event for contact classes.
Super saloons, mods, midgets, and sprintcars have all been tried. This ends in dust for spectators and normally carnage for competitors.
Cartainly don't mind sidechairs, but track has not been user friendly for them.
Thoughts/discussion points?
Stockcar drivers and crew may like to be there and watch rather than race but a great oppertunity to race in front of 16,746 spectators. Also I realise stockcars are slower than superstocks, but teams racing is teams racing. I have seen some amazing stockcar teams races that have rivaled superstock teams races.

Get rid of superstock consolation. And use a 3 heat championships format for team drivers. But with 4 cars per team fronting. Teams that got beat up can use any local or non local ring ins. Also gives there sponsors more track time. And I would also add to that a north vs south 18 vs 18 streetstock challenge. Or even east coast vs west coast streetstock challenge. Wellington go west coast Auckland and rotorua go east coast. As long as there is 36 streetstocks for a championship you will be entertained.
