Well... They postponed the Manawatu Superstocks and Super Saloon Champs for this meeting.
Making their way to battle it out are the Auckland Alley Cats – current New Zealand Stockcar Teams Champions, plus Waikato Raiders, Stratford Stormers, Wanganui Vulcans, Wellington Young Guns, Gisborne Gladiators, Meeanee Maulers and the three local hero Stockcar teams Palmerston North Pumas 1, the Palmerston North Pumas 2 and the Manawatu Steeler’s – it is a massive line-up of Stockcar Teams ready to battle!
Started with 4 teams 4 years ago, then 6 ..then 8..now 10...and yes I know 3 Palmy teams, but the steelers are really the best of them lol.and a good way to sort the 16 to 20P drivers that want to teams race for the NZs in Auckland.
Weather looks good for it. A good fill in meeting between the GP and the Charity meeting in Rotorua for us and the kids. Looking forward to another great night on Saturday! Spoilt down these ways, 75 Superstocks for the Masters, 54 Superstocks for the GP, Superstocks and Super Saloons are also on the billing for this meeting. See you guys there! #UPTHEV (defending champs)

what...no ministocks?? Just how many of the competitors in this Teams Invasion progressed BECAUSE OF Ministocks!!! Reign in your dislike for them and appreciate the value that this class has been for the future of the sport!!! LONG LIVE MINISTOCKS!!!!! And some of the best and intense racing is seen in Ministocks, these youngsters are seriously for real.

And some of the best and intense racing is seen in Ministocks, these youngsters are seriously for real. Look, I understand that many drivers have come through the ministock ranks and I also understand that we need ministocks to get youngsters involved. And I'm pretty certain that those competing in the ministock class are having the time of their life and it is very exciting for them, but TO ME, ministocks are the motor sport equivalent of watching paint dry. Keep the class by all means...but have them do their races at 4pm so they are over & done before the main meeting starts. Anyway...should be a great meeting, I'm very much looking forward to my biggest meeting of the season so far, after the disappointment of the Huntly Teams being rained off. Weather still looks good too....

I have that opinion about tqs and motorbike classes, I perfer ministocks over all of them, but like them classes ministock deserve there time to race in front of friends and family and sponsors with all the other classes

Gisborne wins the 1st up teams race against the steelers 150pts to the G Next up is A v S Any idea why the Steelers car was sent to the infield? Assume on the grass too long along the straight 55s is going to be going upstairs for taking race winner out after the flag

Hmmm, Stratford for me win this race, they belted Auckland to bits and only had 2 cars finish against a 4 car S .. That is a weird result to see Auckland have the 🏁

89a was quietly circulating & keeping out of things until 55s walled them in turn 1 after the flag. 94a seemed to be always there or abouts

Whanganui beat Waikato to win Rees shield. Comfortable win in the end.
