It was a tough night to follow anything listening to the commentary. What is wrong with the commentary team saying this "unofficially ...... has won ......with second.... Not comparing but........

Agree, the commentary was a let down. Right from the get go when they said it would run as 5 cars per team on the track at once. With only 5 cars named per team it was obviously only going to 4 cars each on the track plus reserves. The event was good though and the quality of the live stream was excellent. Probably the best image resolution of any I have seen.

For some reason the commentator thinks Stockcar teams racing is 5 cars and Superstocks is 4 cars, was saying the same thing 2 weeks ago despite there only being 4 cars on the track when Palmy raced Wellington.

Stu Russel is Palmys best commentator and is always up with the play with whats going on in todays racing, unfortunatley because he has also taken on the roll of being Manager of the Pumas he has had to hand over the reins to the old boys

Hmmm, Stratford for me win this race, they belted Auckland to bits and only had 2 cars finish against a 4 car S .. That is a weird result to see Auckland have the 🏁 Yes, they were robbed in that race, I saw it as 32s the winner. . Love the passion of fans, backing their team regardless of the facts 32s was probably half a lap down in 2nd place after being held up twice whereas 89a had a relatively uninterupted run. Can totally understand 55s caught up in the moment and missing both the white flag and the chequered flag, poor 89a had hardly taken a breath before he was nailed and able to pull to the infield.

Personally I didn't hear any of the commentary but I did see they had Josh Lambert upstairs helping when it comes to collating points etc his first time in any form of commentary etc especially around teams racing (slight different from sidecar points and rules) so go easy on him lol. I'll be back for Superstock teams commentating but it seems for now my Stockcar teams calling days are on the sideline 😭

For 3rd and 4th, Palmerston Norths best team got nowhere, and their 2nd team for 3rd and 4th couldn't hit a tree while drink driving. W v V for the money.. Lesssssgo Unsure where you get our "best team" from... we have a great mix of 13 drivers maybe more and mixed it up for this event. We (Yellow) took an absolute punishing in the P v P race and had probably 1 car at 90% and 4 at 60% for the Wanganui race... then the 90% car blew an engine while also winning the runoff... for the Gizzy run we then had to rest a driver and move one into an unfamiliar car who raced awesome with a flat all race and sent out 4 cars at probably 40%. Auto sparkys were on over time. We may not have finished on the podium but for us we still took a big win behind the scenes going forward with another 6 teams events before we even get to NZs

I thought Gisborne did a fantastic job. 71g, 98g & 164g are all very new to Teams racing and all went really good. Lots to learn but did themselves & their club proud.
Also a great drive by Keegan to put the Gladiators on the podium.

There are some pretty good teams starting to come through the stockcar rankings. Yes, Dave in the com box was mucking his names up all over the show but it made for a good laugh. Hamish Barker, Reegan Orr etc haha. Gladiators and Vulcans certainly impress me with and also the young guns living up to their name (well 4 of them are young and awesome blocking by Senior Tye. The amount of Reserve drivers been used goes to show how hard some of the hits were and the racing was. The biggest hit I reckon was Kyle Lamp down the grandstand straight coming off after slapping the wall and getting some good air to landing and then just getting his eyes re focus to then getting a good old tubing from behind to barrel roll into the corner. I bet when he stopped, he would of thought "what the f@#k just happened " lol. All in all, was a good true stockcar teams meeting and I can't wait till March.
