Lyndsay Gilbert has entered in the Hydraulink War of the Wings that will be an interesting spectate.Lyndsay raced a Sprint car a few years back and on occasions was quite spectacular in the few race meetings he competed in.He has been running a Modified at Woodford glen this season and looking at the results he has been at the pointy end of the field.I see his registered car number is N8 i wonder what Sprint car he will tow into the pits on Saturday because he does have a beautifully restored 80's Nance Sprint car with the number 08 on it that he drives at Vintage speedway meetings. If you know Lyndsay it would come as no suprise if this is the car he has entered.

Gilbert was centainly interested, in the time trial spun it up a couple of times and somehow had the car piroeting on it tails like a ballerina without rolling it. Patterson managed to do a complete backflip without damaging the wing, and I said on the way out there to my lad that Levesedge has a big one every couple of meetings and the poor bugger had an absolute monster in the feature, being hit by 2 cars while upside down as well, great to see he was ok
Guildford was on fire all night, couple of poor restarts while in 2nd let him down and Rangi got past him, which ended up being crucial as halfway around the final lap Myers Jnr lost pace completely, I’m guessing out of fuel, and Rangi went around him entering the last corner to take the win

What a show from start to finish.None of the classes racing disappointed the large crowd of spectators. You have to feel for Matt Leversedge that was a big one.And Bailey Patterson just seems to be dogged with bad luck at moment. As i said in a previous post Lyndsay Gilbert didnt fail to disappoint either with his time trial acrobats.Yes a small dollar throttle linkage robbed Joel Myers of a feature win only because he has his foot in it all the time.Probaly stretched the linkage until it broke.Talked to young USA driver Brenham Crouch after the meeting he was saying the not so steep banking on the tracks over here were taken a bit of getting used to but he is starting to put it together in the Freeman Motor Sports car.
