It happened again to Welly track the Superstock and stockcar NZ champs on the same season, to much will have to defer one probably.

Looking through different classes I see quite a few forfeit titles but not who is the replacement, does it automatically get reallocated to the next track on the list?

With the dramas in Rotorua and Napier with rain in early January, would Nelson with their strict resource consent and possible struggles to get a rain date be better at look to February to run the NZ Superstock when the weather is a bit more settled?

No. Palmy team champs is first weekend in Feb and any nz title must be completed before that. Only thing I would say is March. But weather indifferent in march

But weather indifferent in march There is NO RULE that says "any NZ title must be completed before that", but certain events are historically locked into certain time frames and for any club to step too far out of what the fans and drivers have gotten used to could pay at the turnstiles. I understand [although I have not had it confirmed by the club] Nelson are looking at even earlier in January than Meeanee chose as their dates. Barry B

Barry B I understand that the spectators have got used to early January then 2 weeks later 240s then 2 weeks Palmy Teams then Auckland Teams. But with the changing seasons happening later maybe pushing the NZs to later might be a good thing

But with the changing seasons happening later maybe pushing the NZs to later might be a good thing One has to wonder, but the weather is so fickle at all tines of the year, especially summer, there are no guarantees. Poor old Huntly the last couple of seasons have been rained upon anytime between November and March, no matter what month they choose. If it's a big meeting, it rains. Local knowledge may help in some areas when it comes to setting date. It's been a few years now since we've had a New Zealand Superstock title NOT affected by rain, or Covid. Would it be Whanganui in 2019/20? I don't think it was rain delayed, but was very windy and freezing cold from memory? I wasn't actually there. I had flights booked and paid for but didn't go as I didn't feel up to it. Barry B

But nothing like Dunedin or Invercargill. Wanganui was tropical compared to Dunedin and Invercargill
