Great result for Pickens and the team
Drew a straightforward heat race and also got a pretty good draw for the A-Qualifier in terms of driver quality. Drove in both events like a driver who had confidence in the car he had beneath him.
Feature was interesting. Around the bottom for the first 5 laps which wasn't the worst idea to let others clean up the top. Advanced up to third but looked a bit lost in laps 5-15 in terms of where to put the car on the track. Being elbowed out the way by (I think it was) Golobic turned out to be a blessing in disguise as Pickens found his calling and was able to run down the lead pack as they battled for position. Got on the right side of a battle with Chase Briscoe at the end of the race to snatch third. Wasn't much between the top 5 at the end of the A-Main, all seemed to be running similar lap times.
Been a lot of comment on the chili bowl track through the last 5 years. Hope they can repeat what they did tonight because that was a very good track. Though hard to assess on the live stream, it appeared the track crew barely touched it all night.
Front of the B-Main should be a good place to be come finals night. Get some laps before the A and hopefully start just outside the top 10.
From what we saw in the race of champions everyone is going to be chasing Logan Seavey with Tanner Thorson the best placed driver to do so.

Great Result tonight with 3rd place back few years ago would of locked in Chilli Bowl. since they changed it just top 2. still puts MP very strong position make yet another Final. hasnt made the Golden Driller race since 2020.. all the best for saturday.
Besides Brad Mosen prelim night, Friday Justin Grant whose always pretty much locked himself into Chilli Bowl 5 of the last 6 years on Friday. have it tougher as one Logan Seavey also his prelim night. will be absolute epic night..

Just seen that Kyle Larson is a late entry to the Chili Bowl.
Not sure if this is legitimate or made up shiit.
I would have thought that there was a cut off date for entering before the event started 🤔

I would have thought that there was a cut off date for entering before the event started 🤔 it is true, and its in a Keith Kunz car, 98k is the number, hes on Thursday night, and will race a late model Saturday, then fly up for the a main if he makes it in, full story here , sportsnaut.com/kyle-larson-files-surprise-chili-bowl-entry/

Agree I would have thought be a cut off date too. But guess is KKM and Kyle Larson.
Makes Brad's day a bit harder now.
Maybe run Kyle off the rear 🤣🤣

Maybe run Kyle off the rear 🤣🤣 or maybe lap behind lol Kyle hasnt got it easy had no practice laps, unfamiar car its tough group to be racing against. have to be impressed with Brads team mate Zach Daum just missed B main by 1 spot, after his DNF qualifier. started 2nd row of B won that. from 18th finished 9th. David Gravel he did alright too in 2nd Abacus racing midget finishing 4th also in B Main.

Lack of laps or seat time in that particular car won't affect Larson, there's no one else currently with his ability to drive anything and win in it. Going to be a tough deal for Zach from here.
