Great promotional work i must say ,how to draw the best crowd ,the Olly Brown memorial meeting ,or the NZ sprintcar champs ,all in the same city ,where speedway hangs in the balance . I think the modifieds could be racing as well .,so Crumpe will get a bargain price with his pensioners card ..

Over 19 entries so far for the prestige modified dirt cup ,looks like a ripper 19 mods vs 35 odd Sprintcars hands down no brainer where to be the springs not even a close battle Well it's 19 Modifieds vs 20 Sprintcars at any one given time [Feature race only, both running about 12, 13, 14 cars per qualifying heat]. Plus Superstocks in support vs TQs. Plus for us old pensioners we're talking around $50 [plus parking] to get in at WS vs $10 [free parking] at WP. One thing is for sure though; it'll be dusty with big tyres and big wings at both venues after a week bathed in hot sunshine. It's just a matter of how much you wanna pay to get coated Overall WS should be the better meeting, but 5 times as good as WP? [$10 vs $50]. Barry B

Yes it is a shame it is all happening on the one weekend . And as a pretty loyal follower of speedway over many years with a little bit of controversy thrown in ,one does enjoy travel to meetings ,the cost at the gate etc ,all taken into account it is in my view cheap entertainment . So it will be Western Springs for me and a few clients of mine that enjoyed the last meeting ,but do hope the dirt cup gets a good crowd along as well ,and Barry has a balcony seat at the club rooms with Topless bar tenders ..

5 sprint cars at the springs brings up more moaning than 40 cars at waikaraka.whatever happens there will be way more accident damage and p*ssed off drivers and spectators at the springs. re car counts and some cowboy having a d*ckwaving contest, there is only 8-9 auckland registered cars at there own tracks NZ title.....so the sth with its much smaller pop is doing WAAAAY better than the city of sales(forced by the bank).lol.

5 Sprintcars at springs will always be better than 40 at waikaraka park as I'm sure you are aware if drivers wanted to race in the Sprintcar class regularly at Baypark you had to register there because most events at Baypark were capped to local cars only if you were an A car and they hit the cap line you couldn't race however as I'm sure your aware by waving your d*ck you know most those cars are Auckland based returning the serve from the south and obviously couldn't take the jandal I guess 5 sprint cars at the springs brings up more moaning than 40 cars at waikaraka.whatever happens there will be way more accident damage and p*ssed off drivers and spectators at the springs. re car counts and some cowboy having a d*ckwaving contest, there is only 8-9 auckland registered cars at there own tracks NZ title.....so the sth with its much smaller pop is doing WAAAAY better than the city of sales(forced by the bank).lol.

Heavy rain is the forecast this afternoon ,so not looking so pretty for racing ,as there has been brief showers quiet heavy rolling in from the Tasman sea during the night . Although it could blow over and lets hope so ,the only welcome it does have is for those who are on tank water ,and of course us moaning farmers ..
