Trying to work out who'd be most prolific feature winners all classes at the springs far Midgets/ Sprintcars/ Tqs. obviously tall ask know whom would have closer to accurate list. Midgets i think is easier to list. 1st Michael Pickens 78 2nd Barry Butterworth 64 3rd Graham Standring 53 4th Ted Tracey 49 5th Ian Holden maybe around 43 6th Sleepy Tripp 34 Brad Mosen be in top 10 with 27 Feature wins Sprintcars Allan wakeling and Kerry Jones be in top 2 . Jonathan Allard have over 40. jamie mc Donald be in 30s Michael Pickens has 27 then you have Barry Butterworth had 26 Feature wins. not sure was all at the springs or around the country other tracks at the time ? Tqs Murray Worboys say be at the top did win 100 races over 4 year period. Graham Standring had least 50 features in tq midget Anyway of actually knowing feature wins for many of other drivers. Those sort of records never kept going down the years with promotors. only person besides Percy kept stats on drivers. no longer around that'll been Alan Clark. those that recall he was ex sidecar rider of the 1960s.

Would be amazing to have all the stats but our sport is beyond horrendous at such things. Delving back in time and trying to work things out is a painful experience. It's easier to find results from random American tracks than it is to find results from the track down the road in New Zealand
I do have a spreadsheet which contains all electronic lap scoring data held by speedhive. I'm about 3 meetings behind at the moment but I'll give a couple of snippets from what I have
I have 43 Western Springs feature wins for Jonathan Allard from 91 starts. One heck of a win rate! Only have 14 for Jamie McDonald and 13 for Dean Brindle (134 starts apiece)
Would love to hear what's out there in terms of statistical data

Paul O'Sullivan quite a hot shoe in both TQ's and Midgets, don't know his number of feature wins presume low as tangled lots in Hts
Book been recommended for history statistic's of NZ titles dating back to the 70's of all classes

I would of thought drivers would of kept records or race wins over the years. some cases its not easy as it appears. wasnt for Speedhive would be completely impossible get actual number count per ratio/of races.
with western springs speedway would of imagined must be some sort of count going back into the archives. still be available.

Each promotor may have archives. Allan Clarke (is he still alive) had a lot of the stats. Maybe Gordon McIssac has some? Mr Kay gave (loaned?) a lot of his archives to Allan Batt
