If Im not mistaken,Graham has owned about three of Daves ex cars over the years so he may well of been the owner of this lovely example. There have been many cars called "Ex Dave Tennant" over the years and of course this may have not been quite the truth.

Graham Mitchell was running the ex 75A/1NZ car as a standard stock 93A from about 1996 to 1999. Graham Howe bought it from him to also run as a standard, but never got around to getting it race ready. I know he eventually sold it in 2002/2003, he may have also sold a couple of other cars he had stashed away at the same time. If the last paint on it was white over red, it was the 1NZ car, but looking at the photo on Trade Me of your car I don't think it is it.
I will dig out a photo of 93A and post it on this thread.

I have no idea on the history of the bottom car and how much it was changed after Dave had it. If anybody can throw some information out I will try to find some later photos.
The 93A car would not be much different to the photos when Graham Howe sold it. I know a lot of steel was cut off the side rails when Graham Mitchell got it which makes it a little different to when DT and GH had it earlier.

The 82G car is the old 1NZ ,I raced against this car at the NZ's when it became 1NZ ,I fell in love with it and studied every bit of it .I have driven it (welly teams 2006)and it flew.unfortunately the old saying of they go before they blow is true. THE OL HOLDEN let go big time-rod each side,an 2 out the bottom -cheapest option was to go v6,its a pity we havnt got a frontal shot as it still even got the same mesh as in the 93a shots. If their is still doubt we will go round and take some better photo's and prove it once an for all,she is still alive and still racing

Hopefully that sorts that out.
Look after the old beast, I was p'ed off when Mitch sold it to Graham Howe as I wanted to restore her back as it ran in the NZ Champs year and have at least one more old genuine 1NZ as an historic car.
