Unlucky for Ben Morgan holding off Aaron Hodgson right until the last lap when the yellow came on.Aaron just getting around him at the restart on the Town bend. And Michael Pickens slide jobbing Ben Morgan but Ben just held his line and goodbye Michael to the back of the field.Interesting night drizzly most it but Ruapuna did well to push it through well after their curfew time. And we do it all again tommorrow night hope a bit warmer.

What a dog act from Honeywell deliberating spinning Myers who was lapping him whilst in the lead, payback for an incident from last year no doubt. Robbed the crowd of a great spectacle as Allard was tracking him down. Guildford was sensational to watch in that feature
Midget eliminator was a good concept and an enjoyable race

I went last night. Great racing. Great competitors. GREAT TRACK!! Well managed event. Great commentary. The whole evening was great. Ruapuna you turned on a great show that was professionally run. Can't wait for next Thursday and Saturday nights.
Felt sorry for Jamie Duff.
Ruapuna had a very good crowd last night, but I just wonder how many stayed away because of the poor track conditions for the NZ midget car championship that may have turned people off from attending last night. Just a thought.
The track last night made for brilliant racing.

There appears to e a great deal of depth in the talent of the southerners that are out there racing ,more so than expected from some of the one eyed northern brigade . Good to see for the future of the sport ,lets hope meetings that can pay good prize money like this can continue ..

Wasted 5-10 mins between those final 2 Midget heats, should have had the cars out on the track and ready to be started while they were cleaning up the crash rather than waiting to clear it, finally bring them out then do nothing with them for a couple of mins. Probably wouldn’t have made much difference though in getting a full 25 laps in
When they do run that feature it should be a beauty with Pickens, Thomas, Allard and Myer Jr the top 4

Looks like they’ve binned the Goodie feature race and added the money into the Gold Cup

It may be the best option ,given the time frame a lot of top teams had left for racing

Myers Jr wins the Sprintcars, Allard led for maybe a third of the race then it was all Myers from there with Pickens rounding out the podium
Insley takes the midgets, race start he got into Mosen causing Mosen to retire, and Pickens was comfortably in control of the race when he lost a drivetrain. Think it was Low 2nd Webb 3rd
