SNZ Proposed Technical rule changes are out now Current Status: Feedback from Stakeholders requested. Closes 30th April 2024 Its important to note for those busy competitors that are away travleling and working on cars that there is a very short window of 20 days to submit feedback It is also important to note on the driver feedback submission page that quote “”A reminder that consultation is not a vote... We are looking for your feedback on the proposed changes” “All feedback will be collated and the Board will make a decision on if the proposed change becomes a Rule. The outcome will be announced end of May” Take of that what you will Also one point i would like to put up for discussion is that, another year on from when the the Stockcar “Superstock kiwi tyre” tyre trial was introduced (pushed in), there has still not been an oppotunity for drivers to share their feedback, with this not being in the proposed rules one would assume the trial is over? www.speedway.co.nz/technical-1/proposed-rule-changes

"Submissions that impact Performance, Cost or Other may only be made between 1st Feb – 28th Feb each year".

"Submissions that impact Performance, Cost or Other may only be made between 1st Feb – 28th Feb each year". WHY? So it can be discussed and decided upon before the next season ,

"Submissions that impact Performance, Cost or Other may only be made between 1st Feb – 28th Feb each year". WHY? IMHO your point is valid, there is no reason to limit when submissions can be made. The consultation process should be only once a year start after the technical committee's have had a look, which starts at some point just after feb 28th deadline, (allowing for the logistics of collating the remits for consideration).

So it can be discussed and decided upon before the next season , Unless its kiwi superstock dirt tyres in the stockcar class where COST PERFORMANCE OTHER AND DISCUSSION aparently isnt important Glad Im not the only one, when I asked for clarification as a stakeholder initially I was told by SNZ it would be "on the Agenda" up at the next meeting, and then when I followed up a month and half later to see the outcome of the meeting a simple reply saying "Noted thank and received" with nothing further to eventuate. That rule/remit was pushed through without member consultation in either proposed remits, or at conference. So didn't meet their own threshold for being added.

Yeah seems shytolla to me. We cant even suggest a change till a certain time of year but they can make arbitrary changes anytime they like. That should be stopped. Have removed a bunch of words, said too much.

Aparently the tyres arent the size that they say on the packet and you have to buy about 10 to get a pair of the correct size tyres, im not sure how this is good for a budget class at all, When they could just go to any tyre shop in town and buy the size they need

So many proposed changes, I havent read them yet but looking at the list it looks like change for change sake. jeez how did the sport ever get on needing so many changes, (Tongue in cheek) in my life experience, Change just means more money needing spent.

what the fk are they smoking?? I'll have a pound of it please! OEM wheels, Superstock wheels? OEM? I have never seen a superstock or stockcart for that matter running road wheels! Surely this is an example of rules for rules sake or SNZ are far too liberal with what they call OEM. imho
"There has been a considerable rise in reported failures in OEM wheels regarding cracks or complete catastrophic failure throughout the season resulting in heightened risk of harm"

The drivers do not make the rules as claimed by “SNZ” snz corrupt board make the rules
Much like councils and nzta when they ask for public feed back on speed limmit restrictions and road changes they do not give a rats ass about the people
Untill the day we see poll voting this corruption will never end
