RIP Ray Miller
The Rotorua Stockcar Club has sadly lost another one of it’s Life Members. Ray passed away on the 20th of April 2024
Ray was there in his No 3 Stockcar (Superstock) when the track opened in 1970 and raced up until the 1979/80 season when he won the BOP Champs. At that time with car No 33. In 1981 his son Jeff took over the car and Ray was right there as No 1 pit crew for many years after that. Ray was also raced very successfully in the early Teams Meetings.
He went on the Committee in 1974, was Club Captain in 1975 then did another year on Committee.
