Latest issue of Australian Muscle Car has a lengthy piece on Kenny Barlow, focusing primarily on his Speedway Mustang. However it also mentions a Team trip to NZ in 1970 where Barlow raced an XR Falcon and one of the other Team Members was Rodney Crick in a blue Monaro. I remember seeing the Ockers at Forest Lake sometime around then, though I don't remember the Monaro. I do remember Barlow's Falcon along with a mini and a lilac/purple EH Holden with Tralee Speedway sponsorship. Does anyone have any more info on this team? Also mentioned in the article amongst other MIA speedway Mustangs was 'the best looking and most powerful Mustang' which raced out of Waikaraka. Guessed it Yet? The McConnachie car of course. Does anybody remember what happened to it? Would love to be able to send AMC a letter with any extra info. THe Ocker Team Mini Cheers Lee

There was/is a thread on here about what happened to the McConnachie Mustang. Went to the Hawkes Bay.

The original thread is now long gone, but I am trying to confirm some details about Barry McConnachie and the Mustang.
Barry was killed in an accident in the USA. I need to know approx when and was it a race car accident? (Or Rally?)
I have three different articles on the Mustang, one said it had a 289, another says a 302, and another says a 351. A program article mentions a blowup in a 302. Anybody know the truth??
Is Graham McConnachie still around?
I believe the brothers ran their own Engineering/Motor repair business. Is this correct?
Thanks for any help, Gavin.

Barry was killed in an ATV race in the States in mid 80's to 90's as I recall, I went to their family home with my father after his death.
