I'm fairly certain that Karlos McKay got the No 10 from wellington but never raced it although he did a fair bit of work rebuilding it.
(have removed the rubbish my lack of memory caused me to publish here)
The Wootton car was ex 83H(R)Wayne Hueston(sp) wasn't it?.

The Karlos Mckay car was sold to robo in h/b. Then sold to Dave Hatton and rebuilt with a 4.0l falcon and run for for seasons as 44b & 4b then sold to Otaki in April 2006

Yep Steve built the car himself and so did Darren 11w, im pretty sure Tony only supplys the designs 4 the chassis you have to do the rest yourself.

My first car was the ex 1w car of Ernie Hogg from Levin. we lowered the rollcage 6 inches and had a ball.I ran it as 10s Was lucky enough to race it at the teams champs in 98 as 12s and found my way up the wall care of Paul demanser. Ran a very reliable Rover V8 .Car was purchased by and still owned by Andrew Dodunski and is now 66s. It hasnt been out for a few years but Bushy tells me that some day......

I was wondering which wellingtonian had the 77b above prior to it going to penn. I always remember it being one of the top stockcars in the early 90's in wellington. I think it was around the time of when grant reid was dominating super saloons in wellington.

whos is the 3nz bullet?? and who has it today?? I assume you mean this car? This car did not actually win the 3nz, that was won in the much older 15w car. The following season the bullet car came out with the 3nz #. As stated earlier in this thread Wayne Whittaker (akl) owns it and has been putting a new cage on it for the start of the season This is the car as raced by Wayne a few seasons ago Credits as per the photos (stolen from earlier in the thread)

Darren Gray took 3nz twice - at wellington in the Beasty flatty that Keith McCabe now runs out of Nelson, and in the Tri rail in the one race final at Rotorua.
Amazing driver - who can forget his performance in 5w on Final night when he came in as 6th driver and was unreal in taking the wildcats to a title.
Legend, and good to see him behind the wheel now and then in another ver well put together racecar.
