Both the 44s and 4f cars shown were driven by Wayne Booker. $4s was part of the Waitara black team and the 4f was eunning a 221 ford and dominated at Ferndene for a couple of seasons. Notice the small pig shaped wing on the 4f car.....this car was often referred to as the old pig/beast

Well Marty, you deserve a lot of credit for managing to make that hideous 4p mostrosity look almost normal! Did you get it straight from Parkes, or were there other owners in between?

Thanks Basil I got it straight from Garry although as I recall the car was far from straight. To be fair at the time I had neither the skills or finances to make it what I would have liked it to be. But I had a lot of fun racing and wrecking with it. After I was finished with it I gave the bare chassis to some guy who came into work inquiring about it. I would imagine that by now it has probably been recycled several times and come back to us a either White ware of some kind of a Jap import car

;D 2p is definitley the one and only Murray west.He had a station wagon painted up in the same colours and signwriting which he used as his promotional tow wagon. Terry 'Brute' Brown A protest went in about the engine once in Blenheim.Went onto the trailer and left before the protest was heard............................Funny how those old 283- 350 Chevs used to perform in Stockcars. The car was rumoured to have been built in Invercargill and was a true copy.Alot of time was put into it not to mention steel.Terribly overweight at the time.Terry disapeered from the scene for a while and returned later on in the infamous 501 Kuriger/Rover V8 built for the Poms to race.

is that a museum that the old stockcars are stored at in the photo or was it just a gathering of them at a show or event or something?
