well got the better of me so did some research and was the 88/89 season at nelson and the driver is 4n grant marshall in a ford denco 2000. kevin charles must have been a bit later on in the scene. here is a pic from the other side of the fence and presumeably could be a ross wearing photo.

Gregobro, I wonder where all those punters have gone over the years?? Is it that speedway spectators have gotten so watered down with outside competition and maybe the show aint as good as it used to be??? The lower crowd numbers are a concern for all tracks nowadays. AllI know is that it must of been awesome to perform in front of a crowd like that!!

i big crowd always lifts the drivers to perform that little bit extra too. maybe you should head over too the nzdtr editorial thread and offer a solution?

i big crowd always lifts the drivers to perform that little bit extra too. maybe you should head over too the nzdtr editorial thread and offer a solution? Have been invloved with this little sport of ours for many years. There is two argumnets that raise their ugly heads regularly and it will NEVER change. 1:The price of stockcars and that someone ALWAYS spends more than someone else. 2: the bums on seats deal. There has been much discussion and ideas put forward and some even work but are never kept and improved as the success happens and then the momentum falls away and the same old discussion starts again. BORING!!!!!!!!!! Its life Jim.But not as we know it!!!!! Please, back to some more Midget photos............................
