Hi Team, Was gonna start a thread on Billy the kid and stars and stripes cars, but then considered that not all of his cars were coloured that way, and that there were a few other drivers who raced the stars and stripes. Off the top of my head can think of Tony Cardwell, and Graeme Smith. Any one got any pics of Stars and stripes cars? Heres the last one the legend Pall Mall posted - via Antzgofast on reference. Of no interest to anyone probably, but remember this car as a little flyer - Bill Dorn raced for the mustangs in the infamous match against Nelson, when Bootie did his best to jump the fence at the teams. Looked like a shock upset till Billy pulled off with two laps to go. Not sure what the story was there...

The story was a nasty little FACET type fuel pump that got hurled against the Rugby Hall of Fame wall by Bill and a borrowed holley pump fitted to end all dramas!!! If that race had turned out the way it was going, that whole teams champs would have turned out a whole way different!!!!

23w I think you will find that this was a copy of Bills car with a few alterations and using the running gear out of the original

Graeme Smith at Meeanee in 1278. Check out the matching helmet. I'm guessing in the early to mid eighties Apologies for the quality - a picture of a picture since i'm scannerless.

I love the wing on Bill Dorn's 3P - one of the best sounding & looking A Grade stockcars I've ever seen racing at Palmy. Mr Cardwell's car at Wellington Super Saloon Champs 2009. Check out the matching shirt...
