Now that looks like a properly used stockcar, sophisticated tyre rack as well! Stockcars were pretty good back before the $100,000 Superstocks and big tow rigs and buses.

the 0p car went to shaun pearson ?? I assume you mean the Vasey built 0p?? If so, yes,Sharkey did drive it for a while.Willy Mattson drove it when Shaun was low on dough.Chris Gommans owned it after Bones. Bones had the 0p and Paul Vasey had the 99p day-glo yellow Suzuki bodied rocket.(You can see a bit of Pauls car in the background) Im pretty sure these were the first two BRAND NEW standard stocks built in Palmy about 1993-94 and Bones one had some pretty neat ideas. All pretty out there thinking for a standard stock at the time due to the spirit of the class was to use the old A Grade stuff originally!! Things like Offset Morris Commercial diff with Falcon(?) axle tubes.Cantilevered LR shock aalaa Parkes.Holden 202 with Falcon crank and grouted block(Went like a haunted poo house but went bang alot too.) Those two cars had many owners in Palmy in the short time I lived there and Im sure are still going. Paul Vasey builds them to last!! Im off now to start a thread on the Vasey cars

;D At least he got remembered that he actually got somewhere!! Funny how some things get foggy in the memory dept eh?? KD still involved in the sport.Last I heard of him Scotty had him at full flight on one of the older tankers as part of the crew. Clever engineer and not too bad at getting a car round the track too!!
