I thought 53S became Superstock 22S It did. But the previous 53s (Wayne Buckthoughts last car and Tony Shraders first I think) Was stored in a shed partly rebuilt and then purchased by Daniel Coxhead and is now the 585s Stockcar. The 22s Superstock was 53s (Tony Shrader) and before that it was 41B etc.

Steve Pribs old NRP I have made some major Changes to bring it toward the lines of the Millennium Chassis by Lowering the Top LH Chassis rail 145mm & with the help of the cars creator Vic Neil, I have made changes to the the front end, now on torsions from Coil. Incorporated eliminators in the rear & slotted an NRP AU2 Intec into the engine bay. It's been a long road but we will be firing her up tomorrow. Barring any problems we should hit the track on Saturday night. A Huge Thanks to Vic & Family for the help & guidance during the rebuild.

Re the color scheme it's just a quick lick of paint to get it out there looking reasonable. I've always been a fan of Black on black with stockcars Just call me old school. but who knows what color it will be next year.
Bugger it all, I never made it on Saturday, or should that be "Maid" it? Had a problem with the brakes. The master cylinder was too small for the huge 2 pot Torrano caliper on the rear. Sorted now! Just a small problem but we would have failed the Green sheet. I'm only assuming you have still got to have one of those now a days to race?

Re the Question about Suspension & NRP I have to admit the change has risen a few eyebrows The most important reason for me was the Millennium Chassis in my opinion was one of the best handling NRP cars. Vic could put the thing wherever he wanted it on the track. I have seen a number of NRP with coils up front push in certain conditions. I havent burned the bridge though. If you take a look at the front shocks towers you will notice they are still set up to be able to take Coils as is the beam, if I choose to go that way in the future. A space frame setup is all new to me, so the whole thing is going to be a large learning curve. My Old Flat Chassis was very basic when you take into account the amount of technology Incorporated in our class today. To keep this on thread. Which is Probably why there are so many Superstocks being used as Stockcars now with more set to front up next season the class can only keep growing

This is not really an old Superstock that is now a Stockcar but because this has turned into a bit of a topic abou NRP cars, here is my NRP chassis that I brought from Wellington. Previous to that, I believe it was the car that Blair Neil started building. Will be running an AU falcon centre mounted with a toyota diff, coils rear and torsions on the front. Leaning towards a Kuriger front axle at this stage, unless someone can offer another solution? Hopefully I will find time this weekend to pull her out of the corner!
