I bought the car in 2000. I believe it was built in the top of the South Island in the late 80s...

It looks a bit like the old Ralph Gillespie 84e Gordge car from a few seasons back. Maybe?

Was a superstock till I bought the chassis with no running gear from Joel Pitcher, Palmerston North. He bought it and only raced it for one or two meetings then the motor blew up. Joel purchased the car off Ross Cooper 75b.

I always thought Ross Cooper bought the 75b car from Steve Burley - the silver body and green chassised 21h car he had before the flatty with the big body.
Mind you, i think Steve ran a holden, whereas rosco had the Chev in it - he went well too, Coops mentioned they were looking at a new car, bit of a shame he never came back into it - as far as I new anyway.

Here could be some answers off an earlier thread discussing what happened to cars from Nelson driven by Tony Frost and Sam Woodford. Question was and Sam's spaceframe... can you remeber that one? red chassis green body.. that was that bad a car..was aroudn the same time Tony Front has his space frame and Hewitt had his damm and im not even from the south island!!! Answer was Ahhh,Sam's deal...Both Tony and Sam(others too) made their cars after copying Loose Bruce's KZ7. Bruces car was parked in Pooh Bears(ex44c) workshop after Bruce won the NZs in Blenhiem. The GP was held here in Nelson on the Wednesday after the Title.Bees round a honey pot they were taking photos etc etc. Sams nail was a crying disaster at first while Tonys was on the money straight away. Sam tamed the beast and eventually sold it to a virtual unknown young fella(with a mullet then)called Darren Grey(15w. Tonys copy eventually headed up to the Hawkes Bay after serving Tony very well indeed. Hewitts deal was the Ex Nickle Bros 8s from Stratford.Went thru some major development over the years with various owners hewitt,Paynter.some fella named Boote started his career in it and eventually ended on the scrap heap in the past wee while. Yes Mr watcher you have a good memory.....must be a real avid fan.I wonder if some of these famous cars of today will last as long in memories and on the track...............
