I think you are thinking of Tony Zehnder 24s. He was sponsored by Hintons contracting. David hinton I believe is racing a Saloon this season.

David Hinton did have a stockcar, it was in the early 80's and was number 24s.

Was that before or after Stephen Borrows was 24s below is the car Stephen race for a few seasons in the 80s  |

um, not quite sure how to put this,, but here goes, I am a hinton as well and have been told i have rellies "up north" and being as david is a "family" name, i wonder if we are related? i bet we are!
if anybody knows david personally, could you please ask him if he is related to the Hintons "down south" if so, i would love to have a chinwag with him. I reckon speedway is in our blood! ;D

i used to race this car and would like to know of its whereabouts. last known owner was kerry russ or kerry morrell from stratford then sold to meanee in the mid nineties. 027 266 2070
