I'm pretty sure this car made its way down south after being in PN with a green body driven by somebody Tatana? Think it only made a couple of appearances then went to HB ...the O'rielly's? Someone will know.....

Pretty much as shane sold it just a few little comfort changes like power steering and wotnot! I hade it at the new baypark then took it to rotorua as 13r now it sits in my shed possibly goin to go stockcars with it !

Welcome back Clive, good to see the old 82R in good hands. I hope you can have it out on track for next season. Certainly looks like a lot of hours have been well spent.

the car has been stripped back to a bare chasis for now, ready to be built back up to how it was looking when it was originally built. when some spare time is found

Correct me if im wrong but i think 23w was built as a copy of Brian England's car at the time and im pretty sure i know who when where, well i was a kid where and who lol, thats if it was the first car with body change ect as i dont recall him changing chassies and if it was the same car started life blue with a ford y and was a shared ride with Terry Mcgee the big rig racer ex stockcar driver also ,Thats how i think it planed out would be good to hear any different ,when i get a chance i will also ask the builder that started the 23w craze, who run the number before him in a dorn copy. Cheers

The 23w in the photo isn't the car that Dean & Terry shared, that car from memory was copyed from brian Englands Kuriger car & built by Bruce Davis. last time i remember seeing the car Tony Kirkwood had it, after that who knows. The car in the photo is the Buick V6 powered Steve Free built chasses which was built after or along side Graham Gaskins Tony Mac car. don't know if it was a copy of any car inperticular but from memory there were afew ideas of Tony's built into he car.
