Looking for stock car built by Barry Featherstone late 70s, hi tensile chassis, powered by 238 ci Ford,sold to Perry Keyte, then raced in Palmy by Peter Wackildine 94P, then sold to Eddie Hawkins Wellington who raced it for 2/3 seasons then sold it. no one seems to know where it went but it is beleived to have been raced powered by a valiant . is there any one out there with any info thanks.. the last time i saw this car, a bloke named Shane Egan was racing it here in wellington, i will have a look for a photo i have of it

great photos pallmall, brings back many thoughts of years gone by , even recognize two of Stratford's stars (lurking in the background) of the early '80s in this picture that being Dave Coxhead , and Murray "Scrubbles" Parker

yea , thats the car, is it in a barn or under a tree, also any drive train parts,ie, diff , bell housing, etc under a bench, I know it is a long shot but I need to ask, Feathers.

Cool models aye Andrew, my uncle John Jones is the guy who makes those wooden models, and still doing them, although mostly only midgets and sprintcars now.

wicked i had no idea!! my dad brought it ages ago probaby before i was born i have always had it in my model collection. i can't remember damaging the paint but i guess it was me?
i was looking at the detail on the paint work it is very impressive!! all hand done.

Hi, this photo I took ~ 1980 just after it was brought off Perry Kyte. They took it for a skid at Wanganui prior to painting it in the James Timbers colours. By the way, top job on the restoration. Cool car. Looking forward to seeing the dutchmans car also. BL

I understand the new car is a replica rather than a restoration. Is that correct Barry or Dutchy? Yes Pallmall it is a Replica , Barry and Trevor Peters have built replica together because they were unable to find there old cars. I Located Trevors old chevy motor in Levin which he has just got rebuilt ,cheers DUTCHY ;D
