To everyone that has had anything to do with the running of the DHL Saloon series well done. Drivers you put on a great show. I made it to Meeanee, Stratford, Huntly and Rotorua and it was well worth the trips. Hope it done again next season. What a great website they had going, to come home from racing and could log in and see full results and points. Cheers David

I second that David. The most effort is put in by Kirsty Williams, a quiet unsung hero, and wife to Steve. The host tracks were absolutely awesome with their hospitality and track prep. The Website I understand has been viewed and appreciated by thousands - an initiative by Dave Clarke, the person behind the Eastern States website. Dave Clarke of www.blackout.co.nz/speedweek/ designed and maintained the site, uploading it with the latest results as soon as they were provided by Carol Primmer, our series 'saloon rep' and camp mother.

I agree the website updates were the quickest I have ever seen thanks heaps to the cars in this series and their families, it is a big ask to expect people to start travelling on xmas day and right through new years. Well done to all involved in the series, sadly I never got to see any of it for the first time and some of them still havent stopped they are now on their way to the NZ super saloons

Bryan and I would like to thank Steve & Kirsty Williams, Carol Primmer & Wes for all their fantastic efforts in organising and running of the DHL Speedweek. This was our first experience competing in the DHL and what an amazing event for drivers, crew, families and spectators. Unfortunately for us our engine blew at Palmerston North, but the new friends we made along the way made this less painful!! Never mind, we will be back!! See you @ the Saloon champs......... Well, what can I say to top Lou's comments. We had a wonderful time, thanks to all the organisers, tracks, volunteers and competitors who made it all possible. We got home at 4.00am on the 2nd of Jan. and we are already talking about next time!!!
We got to know all the competitors and their crews a little better and we would also like to thank the Fairmont Motel in Hastings for putting us up and putting up with us. The entire mob used the place like it was home and our hosts were brilliant.
We would like to thank Mike, Jodie, and their 2 girls for helping as our crew, Mike won the most outstanding crew member award, he is always willing to help us and anyone else for that matter. He just loves solving engine problems etc.
Most helpful crew points, would also have to go to Wes from 51r who quietly goes about his tasks, but is always planning away in the background, and is ever helpful, in all areas of the DHL Speedweek.
Carol was a great rep and helper over the series too, I know I never have to worry about points, grid draws or race call ups when she is around.
To Kirsty & Steve for all the organising and sponsorship, and for keeping the series going.
And finally to all the other competitors who make the whole series worth while. See you all next DHL if not sooner.

Thanks to everyone involved in the DHL Saloon Series. I thoroughly enjoyed it (as I always do) and hope I'm able to do it again next year for you. Cheers Carol.
