hi guys i am feed up of charging my battery every week and was wondering is it better to and how to convince my dad to put one in

Meant to get a extra 4hp if you take it off all together and run a shorter belt...Dont see how much differanace that will make at the end of the day unless your a top car,I had one setup in my car all season but didnt work,Just have to remember to put both transponder and car batt on charge at the same time

da car is now running me and dad choped haifed da bumper of last night we will put new side rails new front bumper new body sanblast it den paint it

i wouldnt bother with alt
1;more wiring ,which means more to go wrong
2;does save wieght
3;you may get a couple more hp's
as long as you charge it before racing you'll be sweet,only prob i ever had is it does wear batts out bit quicker,ive not had an alt for 4 years and not found it to be a prob,

I agree scotty. I dont run an alternator, It just means you have to charge the battery every week but thats no biggy.

i dont use one either. i would also listen to what christian says in not run one cause everyone knows hes a complete pro at racing ;D

hey mate, come and look at caidans car, 98H ministock ,we dont run an alternator, the car is set up to plug the battery charger into a port on the car. this means ya dont need to undo the battery and take it out of battery boxs etc.
simple and easy.

Bit of a late reply... Was just thinking i never have had an alt on my old ministock... and i only ever had to charge my battery maybe once a month? if that? maybe a new battery would do you good? as was never a problem with mine. unless your car takes a while to start then would understand.
