Jeez all the Wellington Super Saloon guys have gone into those dam things!! 24w, 8w, 88w and if 9w, Supers must of pretty much died out in Wellington now which is a shame..

We've still got 4W (Paul Hodson, new HRC car that Martin drove at the NZ's), 5W Mcphee, 21W Donald Gregory, 9W (at the moment) and 88W has the Super and a Sprint.
Don't think 8W or 88W have had their Sprints out yet though??
I think Dave Spiers has a Sprinter too - not sure if he still has his Halcrow Super as well??
But your right, we potentially have a lot more Sprinters than Supers.

Cheers chris13w & dangerstranger! well that answers my question about the blondie corvette! its still out there & on trade me at the moment!! Awesome pics of the black Lance jennings 77h/96a on there car was very high pitched at the back like blondies SD1 rovers... a mean looking super saloon! notice under Lances car hes got "owner retiring" will be a big loss to the Super saloon class for next season considering he is still at the top of his game.. it very intresting that the add reads he retiring, because when i spoke to him a few weeks ago, he said otherwise, there were plans afoot to do with both these cars, and with nz's so close to home for lance next season would be a shame and a shock for him not to run, as for the black beast this is still owned by nigel and from memory he owned when blondie won in chch, he gave everyone a driving leason that year

sweet, like i said it was a few weeks ago, is a shame, but do agree and even he said the black beast is one of the best handling cars he driven, mm wonder if i can convince him to have the odd guest drive in my car next season ;D ;D, as i owe so much of my passion and enjoyment of speedway to lance and jeanne , and all those who have been involved in the jennings race team

How do TR8's get around the 20 year age rule? Last one was built around 1981, maybe 1982, and there is no later vehicle that is the same - so shouldn't they have all been game over in 2002??

True, I forgot there are still a few old Monza's around!
But isn't the dispensation to keep old cars racing - so wouldn't building a new one be deemed to be outside of the intent?
Mind you - if the late model remits go through you could just call it anything you like!!
(Or put a BMW body on it and call it an M3 - as BMW owned Rover for a while)...
