Out of interest, for a complete new bare frame what are they worth to buy? Just a general figure please, not interested in the cost to buy steel and build it yourself etc, only to buy one ready to go Bare.

I would expect it would be around $3000 - $4000 with all the mounting points and cage etc.

The last 2, i built, i sold for $3000 each. These were just bare chassis, with no mounting points. Malcolm Webb 44p, Cameron Hurley 82s now race these cars. I built a rolling chassis for Kyle Heibner 15v also.
Steel prices have gone up lately, but would be close to $1000 of steel i suppose (i had to out source plate cutting and folding), not including Gas, MIG wire, cutting/grinding disc's etc.....
I don't build chassis anymore, but i do build the adjustable front strut mounts.
Peter Rees is keen to do a run of 10 Ministock chassis, the last time i talked to him, if you need one talk to him.........

thanks fellas, thats about what I was thinking, I may have one for sale soon. I have been hearing talk about the glen not running adult ministocks this year, if this does happen I will change direction before I start, but I may build the car anyway for someone else if they want one. Will wait to see what comes from the AGM end of this month. Come on now professor, whats wrong with my hairy legs lol  |

Come on now professor, whats wrong with my hairy legs lol I have emailed Lewis dawnson and asked why this is the case and as usual not expecting a reply and i think in my email i have made a couple of points and he is tooo scared to answer. I am not going to sign up until i no what the go is, there are other clubs out there (willing to keep ministocks and productions) so if they dont stay they will be losing alot of money  |

To the best of my knowledge there are no remits concerning ministocks at Woodford Glen this year so you should get busy and finish off that car! How long have you been building it for??
PS Missy I do not think attacking Lewis will further our cause and contacting your rep may have been the better option.

I wasnt attacking Lewis I had some questions and wanted answers so i went to the person who is in charge and knows what is going on. It wasnt till i had heard that ministocks might not be back at the glen that i asked about ministocks and productions. To me everyone is to scared to ask questions and so on so i thought id do it that way i know the answers. |

Cheers Glen, yep I've heard the same about the Glen this season not being a problem, this was confirmed when the calender was released and ministock canty champs is on it. As for building it, I only thought of the idea a week prior to the start of this thread ;D as it wont take long to knock it up, but then I have this other car to finish so no time all of a sudden....so bought one instead  |

Is there something you need to share bonezman? you no you want to spill the beans lol I can now, we have purchased Marks car 32c. Will be at the Glen as 95c with Jackie piloting it. Superstock and Ministock in the same paint scheme, should look quite cool |
