A preliminary notice of The Charlie Berntsen Trophy [known as 'The Charlie'] for Stockcars to be run for the second year at Brent Boddy Cars Oceanview Speedway Wanganui on Sunday 14th December at 2pm. Sorry Marty this one just for the stockcar boys.
Just to back up David, we hope this event is going to be a biggie with 50 cars being the target. Keep in mind that this date is the day after the NZ under 23 champs in Stratford. We are just an hour and a half down the road from Straty and this would be a good opportunity for young travelling drivers to make the weekend a 'double champs'. Young or old, the more the merrier. Im not 100% certain rotoholic but I believe it will be stockcars (obviously), superstocks, production saloons, sidecars, youth and adult ministocks. I will find out for sure and get back to you on that tho.

I hope thats the case Edwardo. I will be down at your opening night. I will have some entry forms etc to dish out to anyone who is interested. Be mean as to get a good field of cars in Wangas.

 Thats cool bro, Are you coming down on the friday night? or early on the Saturday morning? Im thinking Maybe Al and Josh would probably be going although im not 100 percent on that. Fired Als into life this afternoon and it will be at the next practice. Then our attention turns to PGs car to ready for opening night so its pretty full on down here at the moment

Have had good interest from visitors for 'The Charlie' just contact David or Gerry for more info. this is one meeting stockcar drivers will not want to miss. 'The Charlie' has to be the most unique trophy in NZ Speedway, most befitting for one of our sports true legends. Remember he will present it to YOU if you are successful.

Visiting Competitors coming to "The Charlie" on Sunday, 14 December, check out Oceanview's website www.oceanviewspeedway.co.nz and download the Entry Form (includes Clearance Form & Driver Profile) and return to Kathy Bullôt (fax) 06-348-4478 so we can add you to the Programme and our Announcer has some info on you. Not compulsory, but really helpful for the organisers and spectators. |

The 'Charlie' this Sunday 2pm Wanganui. Close to 40 entries so far. To all drivers thinking about coming, you do not need to send an entry form, that was to help promotions and to give the announcer background info. on visiting competitors. You can just turn up on the day but it would be very helpful to the organisers to get a call by Saturday. Ph. Gerry 027 6971092 or David 021 2176463. We have the current 1nz and three previous 1nz,s plus visitors from Wellington, Stratford, Palmy, Woodford Glen, Tauranga, so hitch up your trailer this is going to be a big one.

I heard Alan McRobbie, Pete Rees, Dale Robertson.
Also think that Richard Gaskin is coming.
Cant wait especially with pit corner and 30 odd cars.
